DOWNLOAD WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER : WMM works pretty well, but I have a problem with WMM using some of the wmv files that it captured from my camcorder. It won't play them - seems to have started about when I installed WMP beta 9.I can make and save movies with new files without issue and play many of my older files. I'm kind of waiting for the next version of WMP to see if my WMM problems go awayIn one case, where I really wanted to use one of the wmv files that WMM wouldn't handle - I used MovieXone to open the wmv file, put it on the timeline, and export it to DV-AVI format. WMM had no problem using the DV-AVI file, so I did the movie that way, using WMM.It seems that IE6 (I'm using XP as the OS), WMM and WMP share some active X functions when it comes to playing video. Another symptom of my problem(s) is that my main web page won't show the two nested wmv files that I have playing in the frames on the wall. They play fine on my older laptop and every other computer I've checked. Just hangs when using my main computer.
