This is full digital, usingthe mini-DV format, with firewire connection to the iMac. Any of thehigher models have features that are used to edit video with thecamera, which you won't need to do.You might want to look into a Sony analog to digital converter forabout $300. Then you can use video from existing VHS tapes (althoughthe quality will be much poorer).It is real easy to use. Both you and the students will pick it upreal quick. You might want to start with some stills from a digitalcamera as you experiment, but video is much more fun.
